Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s film Bajirao Mastani grabbed 12 awards at IIFA 2016 Awards in Madrid, Spain.
Ranveer Singh Got the Best Actor for ‘Bajirao Mastani’ , while Deepika Padukone got the best actress award for the film “Piku”.

The event has enjoyed the performance of the six greatest artists of the moment in Bollywood: Salman Khan, Priyanka Chopra, Deepika Padukone, Hrithik Roshan, Sonakshi Sinha and Tiger Shroff. The awards ceremony reaches its 17th edition.
The film ‘Bajirao Mastani’ was the most awarded in nine of 13 categories.
Sudeep Chatterjee was recognized in the category of photography for this film and best screenplay prize was awarded to production ‘Bajrangi Bhaijaan’ by the text of Kabir Khan, Parveez Shaikh and V. Vijayendra Prasad.
The award for best production design was awarded to the winning tape night for the third time and collected Saloni Dhatrak, Sriram Iyengar and Sujeet Sawant.
The award in the category of dialogues was awarded to Juhi Chaturvedi for ‘Piku’ and the award for best editing went to Sreekar Prasad for ‘Talvar’.
‘Bajirao Mastani’ was also awarded in the categories of Sound Design, Musical Engineering, Action, support music, special effects, makeup and wardrobe, becoming the most awarded nine awards.
At the gala featured performers like Kanika Kapoor Meet Brothers, Benny Dayal, Neeti Mohan or Monali Thakur , among many others.
Sonakshi Sinha gave her tribute to famous actress Sridevi by dancing on her 80s and 90s songs.
