Commercial vehicle manufacturer Ashok Leyland has open pages to new chapter. It has rolled out India’s first electric bus that is completely made in India. Company named it as Circuit.
At first glance this 30 seater looks like any other bus on the road but for Ashok Leyland its a lot more, It’s a company first step towards the zero emission vehicle for the Indian roads.
Ambuj Sharma, additional chief secretary, industries and commerce, Tamil Nadu, said, the electric bus is a big leap in mass public transport. It would support the government initiative of reducing India’s Rs.8 trillion fuel import bill. “It’s a promise for a brighter and cleaner future for all of us and for our future generations,” said Sharma.
With a circuit Ashok Leyland has started its journey in a whole new world of electric vehicle segment.
