Facebook said on Friday that the download number of animated Bahubali film stickers on its Messenger app has reached 1.34 crore in just seven days, while more than one crore activities were recorded on the Facebook page of Bahubali. In a statement, the company said that from 23 May, the stickers downloading on the store include Bahubali, Katappa and other characters.
A marketing campaign #WKKB (Y Katappa Killed Bahubali) on Facebook was designed to increase more engagement on the app.
The company said that a Messenger bot was also launched to keep the fans engaged in the engagement. This bot had the same theme. Users coming to the bot page had to take part in a quiz. They were asked about the characters of the film and the prize was given to the winner. Bot was answering in 5 languages.
Facebook said that during the marketing campaign of the film Bahubali’s Facebook page has seen seven times the growth in activities related to it. These growth increased from 1.5 million in January-May 2017 to 10 lakh in November-December 2016.
