Don’t be surprised if you hear ‘attention passengers, this is nation’s first happiness junction’ on one of Bihar’s railways’ station, coz that station is Sonepur. Sonepur has got the privilege of being called India’s first Happiness Junction.
Sonepur rail officers have placed a board outside the station which says ‘Happiness Junction’. Divisional railway manager (DRM) Manoj Kumar Aggarwal on Tuesday inaugurated a Happiness Junction at the Sonepur railway station of the East Central Railway (ECR). This first-of-its-kind experiment aims to provide books and several other entertainment tools to passengers waiting for trains.
Their motive is to provide better facilities to passengers waiting for their trains. Some passengers, on the other hand, suggested that basic medical facilities should also be made available to sick passengers in case of an emergency. This is a new start by the railway department and let’s see how well it goes.
