Although Chandipur beach might seem like another beach in India, the encounter is fairly unmatchable.
In fact the sea water disappearing in front of my eyes and then returning back. Amazingly, not many people were aware of this unusual event of the beach, visitors included.
It’s no surprise that, my everyday walk on the beach shown to be a strange one by the end of the day.
Afterwards, one of the street hawkers revealed Chandipur sea beach is also named Hide & Seek beach where water recedes between 2-5 kilometers during ebb tide (the time period between the high tide and the low tide) and returns to seashore at the time of high tide.
Chandipur beach is situated 16 kms away from Balasore district railway station on National Highway 5 (NH-5) & 200 kms from Bhuvneshwar in Odisha (Earlier known as Orissa).
This is the one place in the entire world where variation in low & high tides is as bigger that makes Chandipur Sea beach a strange place for travelers but it’s still hidden from many. People who often visit Puri or Konark temple also not aware of this miraculous place.
