Hyderabad: Due to the outbreak of the Corona virus, people have been competing to go to their homes amidst lockdown in the country. Daily wage workers have left from different states to go to their homes on foot. In this episode, a major accident occurred in Telangana late on Friday night. According to the information, five people died after the collision of a lorry and mini truck in Shamshabad, Telangana. 6 people have also been injured in this accident who have been admitted to the hospital for treatment.
They were all going to Raichur in Karnataka. Shamshabad police officer R Venkatesh told that all the people in the mini-truck are laborers. Being unemployed after the lockdown, these laborers were on their way home from Telangana’s Suryapet district. 5 people died on the spot in the accident, the remaining injured have been admitted to the hospital. Let us tell you that since the announcement of the lockdown, the railway trains and passenger bus service have been completely suspended. So many migrant workers are walking many kilometers to reach their villages.
Many of these are unable to cross state boundaries and are stranded on roads without food, water or shelter. There is a massive humanitarian crisis.
