During a cricket TV show when Shahid was asked about being afraid of the Indian Army. To which he replied that the Indian Army doesn’t know that Pathans guard the Pakistani borders. This was asked from him because in his recent tweet he said “Pakistan is a peace-loving nation, why to talk about extreme measures when things can be resolved through dialogues?”, “Pakistan wants the cordial relationship with all. When two neighbours fight both homes are affected. Say No to war.” he added.

But an Indian news portal had made fun of that tweet and claimed that ‘Afridi was scared of Indian Army.’ When asked to comment on this in a cricket show, the former Pak captain, said, “Indians aren’t aware that ahead of the Pakistani army, it is the Pathans who are standing. The borders are all protected by the Pathans.”
But Mr. Afridi the one thing you aren’t aware of it that Indian Army ain’t afraid of nothing be it the Pakistani Army or Pakistani Pathans. The Indian Army has the strength to destroy anyone who tries to look upon our ‘Mother India’.
