Dalit’s living in Baba Saheb Ambedkar’s birthplace are not allowed to make toilet

PM Narendra Modi may have dreamed of liberating the country from open defecation, but the Dalit families living on Ambedkar’s birth place do not have the right to construct toilet.

Dalit's living in Baba Saheb Ambedkar's birthplace are not allowed to make toilet

In the settlements of Mhow where in every Dalit’s house has a picture of Babasaheb, Mahatma Buddha but there are just  promises on the names of the comfort.

In this period, these things are shocking that education, employment and government schemes are a joke in the Dalits settlement, just 500 meters away from the station. These colonies visible from the road are spread over several acres.

Local people say that the leaders come and make promises. Those who are here have voter IDs, but there is no house. TV and DTH but there are no toilets.

In fact, due to some dispute with the Army Cantonment Council, these people are not allowed to construct any kind. These people have been living illegally on the army’s land for more than 50 years. Therefore, they do not have the eligibility of any scheme and they are not allowed to make the toilet.
