Tamilnadu: Twenty-nine-year-old Southern Railway doctor. A native of Kerala, she served in Erode until she was moved to Coimbatore on March 21.
She reported on March 23, and she fell sick the very next day. She was admitted to ESI Hospital where she is receiving treatment.
Two tests were performed, both showing positive for the virus.
Three of her contacts — her 10-month-old infant, 59-year-old mother, and 51-year-old domestic help — were also positive.
They’re under isolation at ESI hospital. Her 31-year-old husband and two-year-old boy tested negative. Sources claim she may contract the virus from a former railway employee in touch with Thai nationals. A 63-year-old employee checked positively and receiving treatment at IRT Hospital.
The man allegedly visited the Erode Railway Hospital where he worked.
