For the nine-day festive Navratri period starting from 1st October, about 500 Domino’s outlets across North and Central India and some parts of West will stop serving non-vegetarian food.
This is the first time Domino’s has planned to do something like this on such a large scale. They did it before but only at selected stores and not for delivery orders.
Their Navratri menu will include pizza base made of Singhara atta, Saabudana Crispies and dumplings with cheese and sauces with only rock salt, no onion or garlic would be used.
“Consumption of non-vegetarian food reduces significantly during this time. This move is an acknowledgement that though we are a global brand, we are conscious about consumer needs.
Its about making a statement to consumers”, Domino’s pizza India President Dev Amritesh said.
