The Chinese city of Heyuan boasts that they have discovered 10’s of thousands of dinosaur eggs in the past 20 years, and they’ve just added a huge new batch to their collection.
Since their initial finding in 1996, the city has uncovered over 17,000 fossilized eggs and most of them were discovered by civilians instead of scientists.
With this recent batch of 43 eggs, workers were fixing a road when they got into the ditch soon after viewing glimpses of eggs. The repair was ceased to protect the eggs and see how many more were in the opening.
An overall 19 eggs were absolutely undamaged and will be examined by scientists to figure out what kind of dinosaur they belonged to.
