Sushma Swaraj has once more proven she has the common touch like nobody else.
Hindi newspaper Dainik Bhaskar outlined the circumstances of a newly-wed couple in Samain village in Haryana’s Fatehabad district.
The husband Tinu is Indian and his better half Jahna is from Kazakhstan. The two met on Fb last year. After eight months of long-distance courtship – Tinu was in Saudi Arabia at that time – Jahna shared with Tinu she’d like to get married to him. Tinu said Jahna would need to arrived at India for that and she decided. She came to India on a tourist visa and the two married a year ago in June.
Now, in July 2016, Jahna’s tourist visa is expiring. The two have done everything to increase her visa duration but to no avail. Dainik Bhaskar heard about the couple’s problem and published an article about it. Fortunately for them, Minister Swaraj happened to read their problem. And see what she did.
On Tuesday, Swaraj tweeted – in Haryanvi, which we are translating in english “If you’ve filed a request to extend ‘bahu’s’ visa, send me a copy of the request.” Swaraj called Jahna ‘bahu’. That means daughter-in-law.
