A mechanic from India, George V Nereaparambil, is now the largest private owner of the world’s tallest building Burj Khalifa in Dubai.
Once a friend mocked at George over a picture of Burj Khalifa and said, “see this is the Burj Khalifa, a building you cannot even enter”. Today he owns 22 out of 900 flats that are built in the building.
His journey was not an easy one. George went to the middle east in the year 1976 and realised that there was an opportunity in the air conditioning business in the UAE. He started as a spare part seller of the air conditioners and working on the maintenance of the machines. He built his empire and established Geo Electrical Trading and Contracting Company in the year 1984.
