After the attack on CRPF convoy in Pulwama of Jammu and Kashmir, security forces have intensified operations against the terrorists. Under this, the army launched a mission against militants in south Kashmir on Sunday night, where the encounters are going on. According to sources, the mastermind of the Pulwama attack and commander of Jaish-e-Mohammad Kamran AKA Ghazi and a local terrorist Hilal Ahmed have been killed in this encounter. However, this news has not yet been officially confirmed.
In this encounter 4 jawans, including a Major of the National Rifles, have also been martyred. A high level meeting is also going on in the Home Ministry after the encounter started in late November at Pulwama.
Jaish’s top commander Ghazi is said to be an IED Expert. Masnad Azhar, the donor of Jaish-e-Mohammed, used to carry out terrorist activities in the valley through his nephew, but last year during the Operation Allout the security forces had killed him. Since then, Masood Azhar has been given responsibility of Kashmir by Ghazi.
