Today Economic Affairs Secretary Shaktikanta Das announced new rules about the demonetization rule.
In a latest change and relaxation in the demonetization drive rules, families will now be able to withdraw Rs 2.5 lakh for weddings from one account. The guidelines have also been modified for farmers who will be able to withdraw Rs 25,000 per week from their bank accounts. The accounts from which the money will be drawn for weddings must be KYC compliant, Das said.
