Ravishankar died of cancer on Friday. His relatives shared their inability to join the last restrictions.
“For last rites, family members of Ravishankar telephoned their relatives and friends but expressed their helplessness due to lockdown,” said Zahid Ali, son of village chief Afroji Begum.
The local Muslim men carried Ravishankar’s bier, following all Hindu rituals.
