He is a famous Punjabi author-columnist, (awarded coveted Literature Academy Award), diplomat, and former Indian Ambassador to Israel. He is currently the Indian High Commissioner to the UK.
Born in Jalandhar (Punjab), India to noted writer in Punjabi, Mohinder Singh Sarna, his sister Jaskiran Chopra resident of Doon is also a famous writer and journalist.
He did his schooling from St. Joseph’s Academy, Dehradun batch of 1973 (ISC) Graduated from Sri Ram College of Commerce.
He was not only a brilliant student but an outstanding orator and debater possessed an uncanny ability of communicating his point of views. In his school days he had won the coveted debating competition at Doon School which was first in school history! Few years back he had been invited by Doon School to address the students.
