For the first time on the big screen in 1960, Anarkali told the Salim “कांटो को मुरझाने का खौफ़ नहीं होता.
In 2004 Anarkali said the same to Salim but this time it was on colored screen. The film was released in color.
Now Anarkali and Salim are meeting once again in 2016, They will again communicate but this time the dialogue will not be repeated on the silver screen but on the stage.
The film and theater director Firoz Khan Abbas is all set to present K. Asif’s historical film Mughal-e-Azam ‘, in the form of musical drama ‘Mughal-e-Azam musical’.
The play is produced by Shapoorji Pallonji group company in association with NCPA.
Shapoorji Pallonji is the company whose owner in 1960 had also provided financial assistance for the film and also funded color release for this classic in 2004.
The musical is choreographed by Mayuri Upadhyay. Thirty Kathak dancer has been working for two months and practiced daily eight hours a day for the musical drama.
All the songs in the film Mughal-e-Azam, together with two more songs, a total of eight songs will be staged during the live performance of the play.
The Musical Premieres of ‘Mughal-e-Azam is on October 21.
After this, it is also set to be staged also in New Delhi.
