Prince George has done it again.
After giving a funny “slap in the face” to US President Barack Obama when he appeared to a meeting in his blue pajamas, monogrammed dressing gown and slippers, Prince George has once again shown another world leader who’s boss when he’s around.
Justin Trudeau, who is in any other case referred to as the coolest leader of the Free World, discovered the hard way that his wonderful demeanour had no effect on the two-year-old prince, compared with the tens of countless numbers of regular people who have been swept off their feet by the Canadian Prime Minister.
The royal family arrived in Canada on Saturday, Sept. 24, for a week-long formal tour of British Columbia. They were welcomed on the runway by Trudeau, and his wife, Sophie Grégoire Trudeau.
And while Prince George had a handshake with Obama, he dropped to do so with Trudeau.
In accordance to several reports, Trudeau had squatted down to Prince George’s level and offered a low-five, which the baby rejected by shaking his head.
Then, Trudeau turned to a high-five and lastly a handshake, but neither gestures were reciprocated.
Regardless of the adorable snub, Trudeau appears to be to have gotten over his failed interaction with Prince George, publishing an update about meeting the royal family on his Facebook page:
It is Prince George and his sister, one-year-old Princess Charlotte’s 1st visit to Canada.
Prince George is 2nd in line to his grandmother, Queen Elizabeth’s throne. Queen Elizabeth has been Canada’s head of state since ascending the throne in 1952.
