A regular day for Digambar Thak who arrived at the collector’s house to serve his last day. Just when he was expecting to drive his boss to work something unexpected happened. As a parting gift, Collector G Sreekanth drove his chauffeur Digambar to work. While Digambar sat in the back seat enjoying the ride while Sreekanthdrove. Sreekanth had got the car decorated specially for Digambar and had also organized a farewell party for him at the office.
Sreekanth, who hails from Akola is the 19th collector who was driven by Thak in last 30 years. “For close to 35 years, he’s helped the state with his service, ensuring that collectors get to their workplace safely, day after day. I wanted to make this a day to remember for him and also to say thank you for what he’s done,” said Sreekanth.
It only takes a little effort to bring the smile on someone’s face and that smile is priceless and precious. This was a small thing for Sreekanth but for Digambar it was a treasured memory.
