The new face of ‘Swachh Bharat Abhiyan’, A 105 year old lady who sold her goats to build ‘Toilets’

Kunwar Bai from Chattisgarh has been selected by Prime Minister , Narendra Modi to be the new face for Swachh Bharat Abhiyan.

In February when Narendra Modi visited Chattisgarh he praised Kunwar Bai for building toilets in her village by selling her goats.

Kunwar Bai who lives in Dhamtari’s Kotabharri village has dedicated her life to spreading awareness in people about the harmful effects defecating in the open.

She has been aptly chosen as Swachh Bharat Abhiyan’s new ‘Mascot’.

Prime Minister will also be honouring her on ‘Swacchta Diwas’ that is going to take place in Delhi on September 17.
