The Supreme Court said on Tuesday that the Aadhar data leak is a serious issue and can affect the election results. The apex court heard this remark while hearing petitions challenging the validity of the Aadhar.
The bench of five judges, headed by Chief Justice Deepak Mishra, said that the fears of misuse of the Aadhar data are real. These figures can be used to manipulate elections. The bench said, “The real concern is the misuse of the data details in the election. The existence is not in any other country in this world. While thinking about its misuse, we have to take care of it. “He questioned whether the use of democracy would be saved if it was influenced by election results.
Advocate Rakesh Dwivedi, appearing on behalf of the Indian Unique Identification Authority (UIDAI) in the apex court, said that the court should examine every notification of the basis of the Aadhar privacy. The entire scheme of the Aadhaar cannot be dismissed. He said that the base on the Aadhar data theft of Facebook users cannot be dismissed by Cambridge Analytica to influence the US elections. Many are advocating smart cards rather than the Aadhar because the organizations like Google do not want the Aadhar to be successful.
The case of receiving Aadhar data incorrectly has come out. There have been reports of leakage related information.
