Yogi Adityanath has given his green signal to the proposal to rename Mughalsarai. The Home Ministry has also given its green signal to this decision of Yogi Sarkar. Now the Ministry of Railways has to decide on this.
On this issue, SP MP Naresh Aggarwal said that the government is changing the name of all the old cities and places. This should be discussed. At the same time, the central minister, M.A. Naqvi, responded by saying that the opposition has no objection to the names of the Mughals but in the name of Dayal ji.
The UP government had given a green signal to the proposal to change the name of the station in June this year. In July, the UP government got the NOC from the Home Ministry. According to government rules, the state government needs to take NOC to change the name of a station, village, city.
