Vietnam-based low-cost airline Vietjet Air will soon start direct flight service in between Ho Chi Minh City and New Delhi four days a week to serve to the fast-growing air traffic between the two cities.
Run by lady entrepreneur Nguyen Thi Phuong Thao, the airline is famously known as “bikini airline”.
Vietjet Air continues to be in the news for it’s the controversial “sexist” promotion stunts that. The airline has been posting an annual calendar showcasing bikini-clad models dressed up as flight attendants, pilots and ground staff.
Viertjet- Vietnam’s first private airline which started operating way back in 2011, became incredibly well-known and became the country’s second-largest airline cheers to its bikini-clad models as air hostesses. Not too long ago, the airline was in news and was criticized on the social media as it sent models in lingerie to join the football players heading home from China.
Currently, there are no direct flights between the two countries.
The headline was made at the India-Vietnam Business Forum organized in New Delhi recently to mark the visit of Vietnam President Tran Dai Quang.
Presently, the airline has a fleet of 55 aircraft and operates 385 flights daily on its 82 routes spanning Vietnam and across to international destinations.
