Every year women’s day is celebrated on 8th march for the social, economic and political achievements of women. This day also shows actions for accelerating gender parity, women’s rights, and international peace.
But the question is ‘IS IT REALLY WORKING OR IT JUST A ONE DAY SHOW?’ According to World Economic Forum’s Global Gender Gap Report, it would take another 170 years for gender gap to be closed. It clearly shows that women are still facing gender biases problem. She has to struggle every time and for everything whether it is education, job or for living her life in her own way. Everybody is talk about equality, respect, and rights but still, parents have to fear for their daughter, they don’t allow her to late night jobs or parties the reason is that it is still not safe and secure.
Women are not less than anyone and this has been proved many times by such courageous and powerful women like INDIRA GANDHI, SENECA FALLS, NEERJA, KIRAN BEDI, MARRY KOM, and much more. If we really want equality and respect for women then we have to raise our voice for it, not only on women’s day but every day every moment whenever there is the injustice, women have to take a stand for herself.
